Henry the Pony, a resident of The Little Barn, stopped by the Mackinac Island School yesterday to help us celebrate the first day of school. My students (six fifth graders and seven sixth graders) loved visiting with Henry. Such a Mackinac way to kick off a new school year...

Sounds like a lovely way to start a new school year. We use to have a local man who had a Bison...he would bring it by our Elementary school. We live just off of Antelope Island where a bison herd lives...sometimes there is an abandoned baby (Mother dies)….that's how he came to raise a Bison.
