Our local Fire Chief, President of the School Board, and life-long Island resident Jason St. Onge recently started hosting a podcast called Mackinac Island Moments. He asked me if I would be willing to come on and talk about the school. When people find out I'm from Mackinac they always have questions about the school, so how could I say no.
If you're curious about the Mackinac Island Public School, pop on over and listen. (The episode is about 30 minutes long.) If you still have questions, leave me a comment and I will do my best to answer them.

I really enjoyed today’s podcast and then I found your blog. My husband and I come for at least a few days once or twice a year. In the off season I love to swing on the swings at the school and take in that magnificent view so I can imagine your classroom view must be pretty special to you. I’m not a teacher but I am mom of 3 grown children, all are now married, one daughter is a teacher, one daughter in and one son in law are teacher, too . I have so much respect for your profession. I’m glad I found your blog because I love all things Mackinac Island. This year will be there over the 4th of July for the first time. I’m a little nervous about the crowds. We timed it so that we could go to Engineer’s Day at the Soo and then the island so it was a timing issue.
Thanks for being a guest on the new podcast it was simply a delight to listen!
I'm so glad you are going to make Engineer's Day at the Locks. We really enjoyed it when we went. I don't think the Fourth will be too bad, but I'm use to the crowds, so to me it seems like just another busy summer day. It is a nice time to visit because lots of people decorate for the Fourth, and of course, the fireworks are fun!
