They've exploded into a wash of glorious color.
I love spring... Though I would love it more if I was healthy. I've been to the doctor twice now due to this "crud," and I'm currently nursing two infected ears and an awful cough. But the silver lining is yesterday was my last day of school and I can stay home and take it easy every day from now until September eighth. That is exactly 101 days of summer.
However shall I fill it all? Why spending time with my children, of course. We'll go on a road trip to Indiana, camping, to the fish hatchery, to the Butterfly House, on about a million walks through the woods and to the park, we'll walk picnic lunches down to Papa at work, get baked goodies at Martha's, throw rocks into the lake, pick raspberries, weed the garden, draw on the road with chalk, and spend lots of time at the library. Even if I am still a wee bit sick, I plan to relish every minute - all 145,440 of them...

Beautiful tulips! And what a wonderful summer you have in store!!
I can't believe how long your summer break is -- a whole month longer than ours (we also go back Sept 8).
And keep taking care of yourself - don't do too much these first few days of summer holidays!!
Isn't it just magnificent to be able to spend summers with your children! I don't think I could work if we weren't on similar schedules! Hope you get much better and soon!
I hope your body heals ASAP so you can take full advantage of your summertime!
Hey! We're also road-tripping to Indiana. I look forward to hearing where you're going.
Happy summer!
Such pretty tulips! Hope you're feeling better soon so you can enjoy the weather! You don't have allergies, do you? I've been sneezing and blowing for WEEKS.
Thankyou for showing a photo of those beautiful tulips!
And I do hope you are better soon. Summer colds/flus are just the worst.
Enjoy your summer holiday! (Did you calculate the seconds too?)
What a beautiful shot of spring!
Glad to hear that you are on the mend. It's even better that your on break with the children. Enjoy!
Tulips are ny favorite! What a eautiful sight. And I hope that a bit of warm weather and adventures with the kids helps kick the crud:)
You have just got to get better SOON.
Your description of summer plans makes me wish I was one of your children! All my favorite things to do and experience. I could feel my body relax as I was reading about your lovely summer to come. Enjy every minute.
Ahhhhh summer, enjoy it!
Our tulips are mostly gone, too much rain, too much wind, their petals just fall right off :(
Liz your summer sounds great (I especially am smiling to think of you stopping at Martha's for a treat). I hope we will see you when we are up for a visit.
Those tulips are beautiful! And your summer sounds fantastic. Wish I could come visit!
Only a math teacher would calculate the minutes of her summer vacation... ;)
sorry you're still feeling cruddy.
it sounds like you are looking forward to summer activities as much as i am!
Gorgeous tulips! Tulips just won't grow around here. Funny story... I was in NC visiting my brother and looking at a magazine or something (can't quite remember what it was) and saw Mackinac Island...I mentioned that I had a blogging friend who lived there and everyone was so impressed! I had no idea you lived in such a posh tourist destination! It gave me a good laugh that I was so clueless.
Ugh.....I hate to hear that you are still feeling yucky. Get well soon. The tulip pictures are wonderful.
Feel better soon! The view of tulips is magnificent! Thank God for pictures! Our florists here have to keep tulips in their fridges.
Again, the most beautiful pictures!!!
You get a nice long vacation. We go here until June 17, and back to school the Wed. before Labor Day. I'm looking forward to every day we get though.
