The kids, Grandma Crissie and I had a great time trick-or-treating our way through town yesterday. I was amazed how many off-island kids there were! Silly me though it would be mostly locals. Anyway, I still can't get over the haul of stuff my little Gingerbread Man and Mr. Fox brought home - a bag full of candy each plus water bottles, key chains, pens, pencils, fancy chocolates, saltwater taffy, bracelets, necklaces, and a ruffly shower cap ("an old lady hat" for the costume box according to my son.) It was a great idea for the island's Tourism Bureau - what a super way to get people into your town's stores! We had such a good time, I think a thank you note to Chris and Mary over at the Tourism Bureau is in order...

GREAT photo! Glad you had a good time of it.
that sounds like so much fun. what a great, great idea!
What a fun event.
How do you handle the candy? Let them have one big sugar hit and get it over with, or ration it out over the coming weeks(months)?
great photo! is there a dad tax in your house? my hubby used to institute one in our house. it was his way of trying to get butterfinger candy bars.
Sounds truly wonderful!
Did you get my email?
... and what a great idea to have it early! Sounds like they got the mother load. Are you still going trick or treating? ;)
