Mackinac Moments

Mother Nature just couldn't make up her mind today. It would be beautiful and sunny and then dark thunderous storm clouds would roll through. Then, the sun would come out again.

The first storm that went through this morning actually brought us some pea-sized hail.

It was a perfect day to work inside. I managed to get quite a bit done in my classroom and only got a little damp on my bike ride home...

Liz, this has nothing to do with your post, but I was wondering if you could help me out. When we were on the Island this summer, we rode bikes around the perimeter for the first time. On the (NE?)side of the Island is a big (seemingly abandoned) lodge looking house with a small cottage next to it. There are pics of it on my campfire blog. What, if anything, do you know about it? I found it totally facinating!!

@Tracy - The lodge you are talking about is Silver Birches. There is a great article about it here.
