OK, maybe not for everyone, but for a few... A few posts ago I mentioned how the hotels on the island pull their tulip bulbs each summer, well this year I hit the jackpot! I happened to be riding by on my bike just as one of the gardeners was pulling them out. I filled my basket as well as my cart.
I managed to get so many that I'd like to share. Just leave a comment (and make sure I can email you) and on June 20th I'll draw three names - each of whom will get some flowery goodness. I'd love to ship them to anyone, but I doubt customs will let me ship outside the US... I know a few of the bulbs are purple, but other than that your guess is as good as mine. (Most of the petals blew off in a storm, but I know that hotel had red, orange, white, yellow, purple and salmon.) In my experience most of them come up in the spring, but obviously I can't guarantee it. Even if they all don't come up, they're still worth the price. :)

How fun! I'd love some tulips. You shouldn't have to mail mine as I hope to get to the Island this Summer.
ReplyDeleteTulips! Always a welcome sign of spring.
ReplyDeleteI'm in! This would be so fun...when they bloom I'll think of you!
ReplyDeleteYou're right - you couldn't send some to me which is a pity as they are so pretty. I love tulips. I saw some 'black' ones once at an open garden in the mountains. (They were very, very dark purple. Situated amongst the white and pale pink they really did look black.)
ReplyDeleteObviously, I am not entering the draw, so just skip me, but just have to say SCORE!! How awesome is that to just be able to scoop up gorgeous bulbs like that!! :D
ReplyDeleteYay! You can count me in, that would be awesome!
ReplyDeleteI have a new found love of tulips. They were STUNNING here this year!
ReplyDeleteTulips! Yay! You are so sweet to give some away. Count me in!
ReplyDeleteyes! yes! sign me up! i'd love some tulips...hey, even if i dont win, i'll trade ya for some more fabric...aren't i bad? but i dont have any tulips in my yard and now that the fences (see blog) are up, the deer are outta luck at my place. well, they can still eat my lovely flowers out front but hopefully all those marigolds i planted around them will make them shove off. :-)
ReplyDeleteI know I have to be left out on this one :-)
ReplyDeleteNew to your blog. Was scrolling down and saw your spring cleaning and was totally inspired...
ReplyDeleteThe tulips are beautiful as well..
Have a good one!

Such great advice with your children. We easily will spend those quarters on vending machines without blinking an eye sometimes.
ReplyDeleteAnd we are not even hungry or thirsty.. It's just because it is there...
If we can have it in a water jug that is difficult to get into, it really makes them think twice..
Thanks for taking the time with me... Kayce
