On Mackinac Island this week, every morning has been prettier than the one before. Friday, however, will be the best morning of all since I get the day off and plan on being in bed until well after the sun rises. Hubby is going to work, the kids are going to the sitter, and I plan to bask in the rare glory that is being alone; all by myself for eight glorious hours.
Don't get me wrong, I adore my family and I love my job. But I'm almost never alone, in the house, for more than about 15 minutes. The prospect of eight hours of solitude has me almost giddy with anticipation. I'm sure If I was alone all day, every day, I would get really tired of it, but until then I'll savor every second of this special treat.
What a beautiful picture! And to have a Friday like that, with time by yourself - what luxury for you! Enjoy every minute of it!! Happy Thursday :-)

Enjoy! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I would LOVE that - hubby works from home, and our boys are homeschooled. The only time I get alone is when they go to Marquette once a year!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture!
Your picture is making me homesick for our old apartment. I loved having this view from the living room and I miss it so much. We have been planning a big trip to the island this summer and I can't wait.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day off! Do something fun!
Thank you for coming to my blog today! Daniel happened to be sitting by me when I came here and he saw the picture of the bridge and yelled out, "it's the Mackinaw Bridge" It is such a wonderful place and he's only been there twice and it means so much to him. It truly helped bring the words out of him! Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteOh I love the prospect of a day in the house all alone. At the end of each long term, with the kids still in care, I get that day of utter freedom. It makes those 10 weeks of slog worth it.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day.
Monique
PS That photo is indeed GLORIOUS
