Busy...

I've been a busy little beaver lately.

Trying to meet my quota of hats and mittens, finish up my grading so I can complete my report cards before I leave, and packing for my Egypt trip. Phew!

Needless to say, things will be quiet around here for a while. I may be able to post for Cairo, but my mom's internet service is spotty at best so posting may not resume until I get home and sleep for a few days...

  7. have a great trip!
    do you find fabric there?
textiles you can use for quilts?
always wonder what is available in other countries.
Ever since I was in elementary school I have wanted to go to Egypt, the pyramids always amazed me
would be great to find fabric with pyramids on them or a napkin you could use for the center of medallion quilt...looking forward to seeing pictures from this trip to Egypt!
    hope you will share many
    have a safe trip

  15. Hi. I am a new reader of your blog. I happened to stumble across it today. It just appeared in my Reader recommendations. Thank goodness! I have never ever been to Michigan and my husband is bringing me to Mackinac Island for the very first time ever this August. The trip to M.I. is the part I am most excited about. I love the mittens you make. Is there a picture of all the different versions somewhere that I could look at? I will definitely want to buy some as a token of remembrance from our trip! They are beautiful. We live in Arizona - where it's going to be 107 degrees today - so we likely won't wear them often, but it will still be a great reminder of a great trip. I'm very fascinated by the whole island - no cars - etc. living. Please share more on your blog! (I've only gotten this far back so far so maybe you already have.) Hopefully, I will have the opportunity to meet you while we're there buying our mittens!

  16. What a beautiful blog! And what mittens! Do you sell the pattern to these mittens or might you refer me to a place where I might find one? I've long wanted to make sweater-felted mittens, and these look lined and lovely

Thank you for this site - I will be linking to you tomorrow with my snow day poem!
