Green Makes Me Smile

This little splash of green makes me smile every time I see it. It may be a hand-me-down but it is one of my daughter's favorite things. Some days it is her "die-saur hat," some days it magically turns her into a "draaa-gon," and other days it instantly turns her into "Die-saur Neil" (a mild-mannered paleontologist who accidentally eats some dinosaur DNA and grows into a gigantic dinosaur who terrorizes "The City" in an episode of The Tick. (If you are a total geek, like me, you'll appreciate The Tick, trust me - it's hilarious.) Some nights, when she is wearing her dinosaur pajamas, she even wants to wear the hat to bed. Which just makes smile even more. What is making you smile today?

  1. Great green idea. Lizzy was just talking today about how much she loved Barney the Dinosaur when she was your kids age. I saved a box of Barney stuff in the attic just for her. That book is something I'm sure your kids will treasure as they grow too.

  2. This reminds me of when my Ducky was given a Dorothy Dinosaur (from The Wiggles) tail for Christmas when she was 2. She wore it all the time .... with her fairy dreses, with her pyjamas, even with her swimmers!

When she sees it in the dress-up box now she still gets a smile on her face.

  4. Similar cute comments by my 2 year old. Being home with him on maternity leave for the last week has totally changed his personality. He's so excited to have Mom's attention all day he never stops talking!

I'm smiling today, but I've nearly got the tax package ready to send to the accountant.
